Constitution of the Nationalist Constitutional Reform Party (NCRP)
Preamble
We, the members of the Nationalist Constitutional Reform Party, affirm our commitment to the values of democratic participation, natural sovereignty, and the inherent and unalienable rights of the men, women, and children born of, and living here.
Our mission is to win the election and form a provisional government, as the voice of the people. Then undertake our constitutional reform that strengthens the representation of the people and holds elected officials accountable to the public.
We pledge to create a system of governance that works for the people and ensures transparency and accountability for the future of our land, our children, and our grandchildren.
Article 1: Name and Purpose
1.1 Name
The name of the party shall be the Nationalist Constitutional Reform Party (NCRP).
1.2 Purpose
The NCRP is committed to launching a constitutional convention in order to enhance national unity, uphold the principles of democracy, ensure greater accountability for politicians and guarantee the protection of our rights and freedoms.
Article 2: Membership
2.1 Eligibility
Any Canadian citizen, who is at least 18 years of age, subscribes to the objectives of the party, and is not a member of another political party shall be eligible for membership in the NCRP.
2.2 Membership Fees
The national membership fee is $20 per year.
2.3 Rights and Responsibilities
- Members shall have the right to vote in party elections, participate in meetings, and stand for nomination as candidates.
- Members are expected to uphold the principles of the party, contribute to its activities, and comply with party by-laws.
2.4 Termination of Membership
Membership may be terminated if a member:
- Engages in activities contrary to the party’s values.
- Acts in a manner that undermines the party’s reputation.
- Fails to pay membership dues (if applicable).
- Violates the constitution or by-laws of the party.
Article 3: Leadership and Organizational Structure
3.1 Supreme Authority
The supreme authority of the NCRP shall be vested in the national convention of party members.
3.2 National Convention
The national convention will take place within one calendar year from the date of completing the process of the first party membership.
3.3 Executive Committee
- The initial executive committee shall be comprised of volunteers from the membership until the time of the first national convention (date TBA).
- The founder and leader of NCRP, Gordon James Berry Jr., will make all decisions in relation to the day-to-day operations of the party, the implementation of policy, and the management of resources during the initial year of building memberships while growing the party, with the advertisement and assistance of the executive committee as they join and volunteer for these positions.
- The executive committee shall consist of the Party Leader, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and other members as determined by the national convention.
3.4 Roles of the Executive Committee (All voluntary until the first national convention)
- The leader is the chief public official of the party.
- The leader shall promote the party, its principles and policies.
- The leader shall, when the membership and finances have grown enough to support it, take a salary that does not exceed the average median salary.
3.5 President
The president shall serve as the chief executive officer of the party and shall be elected by party membership. The president is responsible for representing the party in all matters and ensuring the fulfillment of its objectives.
3.6 Vice President
The vice president shall assist the president and assume their responsibilities in the president’s absence.
3.7 Secretary
The secretary shall maintain all records of the party, including meeting minutes and membership lists, and ensure the proper documentation of all decision and activities.
3.8 Treasurer
The treasurer shall manage the party’s financial affairs, including fund raisin and, budgeting, and ensure the party’s compliance with Canadian electoral and financial regulations.
3.9 Executive Roles
All of these executive roles will be filled on a voluntary basis by individuals who are both members of the NCRP and have the professional credentials to fulfill these roles (ie. A certified accountant as treasurer).
Article 4: Powers of the National Convention
- Approve changes to the constitution and by-laws.
- Elect the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer, and other members to the executive committee.
- Set party policy and strategic direction.
- Discuss and approve resolutions on national issues and party objectives.
Article 5: Elections and Candidate Selection
1. Candidate Selection
The NCRP shall adopt a fair and transparent process for selecting candidates for elections. All members are eligible to seek nominations as candidates, subject to approval by the local nomination committee, and adherence to their rules therein.
2. Election of Officers
The president, vice president, secretary and treasurer shall be elected by party members during the national convention. Elections shall be conducted by secret ballot, and candidates must receive a majority vote.
3. Candidate Members
No candidates for general election or election of party officers shall be BAR Association members, or be citizens of any other country besides Canada.
Article 6: Policies and Constitutional Reform
1. Party Platform
The NCRP shall follow the clear and actionable platform for constitutional reform with an emphasis on:
- Protection of all inherent and unalienable rights of men, women, and children, born of and living on this land.
- National sovereignty.
- Accountability of all public and elected officials to the people.
2. Public Engagement
The party shall, beginning with the founder and leader, actively engage with the public through town halls, media outreach, and educational programs to raise awareness of the need for governmental and constitutional reform.
Article 7: Amendments
Amendments to the Constitution
This constitution may be amended by a two-thirds majority vote at the national convention. Proposed amendments must be submitted in writing to the secretary at least 60 days prior to the convention.
Article 8: Dissolution
The NCRP may be dissolved by a two-thirds majority vote at the national convention. All assets shall be distributed in accordance with Canadian law.
